Key Features

  • Generates a new patch from one of four musical starting points: BASS, STAB, LEAD, or PLUCK.
  • Keeps up to eight patch slots available within a session so generated sounds can be compared and retained.
  • Uses nine macro controls for quick shaping after generation instead of a full conventional synth programming panel.
  • Includes an on-screen MIDI keyboard for testing notes directly in the instrument.
  • Shows a real-time waveform display while the instrument is played.
  • Runs as a Windows VST3 plug-in or as a standalone Win64 instrument.

Description

ABYZOR IZZY Synth is a Windows instrument that reduces sound creation to a choice of BASS, STAB, LEAD, or PLUCK, followed by a generated patch and a small set of macro adjustments. It is aimed at getting a usable electronic part moving quickly instead of exposing a traditional oscillator, filter, envelope, and modulation layout.

Eight patch slots let you keep several generated results in the same session, while nine controls provide the hands-on adjustment after generation. The built-in MIDI keyboard and waveform display make it possible to audition ideas without leaving the plug-in window.

IZZY is available as both a VST3 plug-in for a compatible Windows DAW and a standalone Win64 instrument. Its deliberately limited interface suits producers who want quick basses, stabs, leads, and plucks, but it is not intended as a substitute for deep, parameter-by-parameter synthesis programming.

The first public release is version 0.1.0. ABYZOR presents the Windows download as permanently free with no licence requirement; the product page also says a macOS edition is still in progress, so Mac users should not rely on it yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of sounds can IZZY Synth generate?

IZZY begins from four sound types: BASS, STAB, LEAD, and PLUCK. Generate creates a patch from the selected type, then the macro controls let you shape the result.

Can I keep more than one generated sound while I work?

Yes. Version 0.1.0 provides eight patch slots, and the changelog states that GENERATE fills the next slot. This makes it possible to retain several ideas during a session.

Does IZZY Synth work outside a DAW?

Yes. ABYZOR supplies a standalone Win64 build alongside the VST3 plug-in. The standalone version can be used without loading it in a VST3-compatible host.

Is a macOS version available?

No current macOS build is listed. ABYZOR identifies IZZY Synth as a Windows 10+ 64-bit product and says macOS support is in progress.
