Description
BiFilter2 is a Windows VST filter effect from Tone2 built around a large set of character filters, distortion modes, and real-time visual feedback. It is designed for broad creative filtering rather than surgical correction, with low CPU use and enough preset support to move quickly while sound-designing synths, drums, loops, and transitions.
The core engine combines 46 unique filter types with 8 distortion types, FM, AM, wave-shaping, bit-crushing, re-sampling, comb filtering, vocal filtering, equalizing, and reverb-style processing. A live frequency-response display makes cutoff, resonance, and tone changes easier to judge while sweeping or automating the effect, especially when pushing resonant movement into obvious sound-design territory.
Version 2.5 is the final Windows-focused freeware release after nearly 20 years as a commercial product. The update removes the serial-number requirement, improves loading and VST directory detection, adds automation support for parameters, and fixes several installer and host-stability issues while keeping the plugin focused on its original VST workflow.

Does BiFilter2 work on macOS?
