Description
Cozy Piano is a SampleScience virtual instrument built from a multi-sampled Remeau upright piano recorded in a living room in Thuir, France. The tone is warm, soft, and slightly imperfect, with enough natural room sound to feel intimate without turning into a washed-out cinematic piano.
The plugin version adds SampleScience's familiar sound-shaping panel around the piano source: amplitude ADSR, multi-LFO, highpass and lowpass filtering, amplitude range controls, and distortion, delay, chorus, and reverb. That makes it useful as a straightforward upright piano, but also as a lofi keys layer when you push the drive, modulation, or onboard space.
Cozy Piano is also unusually flexible on format support. Alongside the Windows and macOS plugin build, SampleScience offers Kontakt, Decent Sampler, Soundbox, Reason ReFill, and SFZ editions, which makes the same recorded piano usable in several sampler workflows.
