What is the difference between Frohmage and Frohmager?
Frohmager is the updated version of the original Frohmage, released in 2023. It keeps the same core filter engine but adds a completely redesigned interface, a full modulation matrix with LFOs, envelope followers, and ADSR generators, plus the new Macros² system for expressive control. Both are available for download from Ohm Force.
Can I modulate filter parameters with external MIDI controllers?
Yes. Frohmage supports very fine 14-bit MIDI control via PRN and NRPN messages, which provides much higher resolution than standard 7-bit CC messages. This makes it well suited for expressive hardware control during live performance or studio automation.
