Description
Grizzly is a stereo modulation effect from AOFN Audio inspired by the 1979 Gristleizer circuit. It uses an internal LFO to either duck amplitude in VCA mode or sweep a lowpass filter in VCF mode, turning static drums, guitars, synths, vocals, and busses into rhythmic motion.
The plugin can stay subtle as a tremolo, slow pulse, filter swell, or auto-wah, but its personality comes from less polite settings. Faster rates push the VCA side toward gritty ringmod-style movement, while offset, bias, shape, and drive change how aggressively each LFO cycle bites into the signal.
Grizzly keeps the workflow deliberately direct: ten controls, no preset browser, no hidden menu system, and a bypass switch. The LFO offers triangle, square, saw up, and saw down waves, with free-running speed from very slow movement to audio-rate modulation or host-synced divisions down to 1/32 notes.
