Description

MonasteryGrand is a sampled concert-piano instrument for MeldaProduction’s MSoundFactory platform, pairing a natural stage-piano sound with controls that take it beyond a fixed library. It is built from recordings made in a Czech monastery concert hall and is intended to work through MSoundFactory, including its Player edition.

The main instrument is designed as an adaptable piano voice for pop, rock, EDM, Latin music, and general songwriting. Automatic harmony can support chord-based parts, while the built-in delay, reverb, compressor, and enhancer give producers a way to shape the sound without immediately reaching for a separate effects chain.

Its sample pool was captured with more than a dozen stereo microphones, then selected from 50 GB of recordings into a library exceeding 3 GB. That emphasis on multi-mic source material makes it a sensible starting point when a mix needs a piano with room character rather than a deliberately lo-fi or heavily processed tone.

MonasteryGrandCreative provides the more unusual counterpart: it loops the piano samples so notes can sustain for extended durations, then offers four resonators and a filter for transformation. That split between a conventional playable grand and a sound-design-oriented version makes the instrument useful for both straightforward accompaniment and more experimental textures.

The instrument is permanently offered at no charge, but it is not a standalone piano plugin: MSoundFactory must be installed, and the official guide points users to MPluginManager for current installation. The dedicated installation page also documents a 3.52 GB manual instrument package and the required MSoundFactory Essentials resources.
