Description
multiDelayFree by SaschArt is a creative stereo delay plugin for building layered rhythmic echoes on macOS and Windows. It starts with a main delay line, then adds child serial delays so repeats can cascade into denser patterns than a standard single-tap delay.
The free edition supports up to three child delays, each with its own delay time and mix amount. The paid multiDelay version expands that concept to 15 child delays, so this edition is best viewed as the compact version of SaschArt's multi-delay design.
Warp control is the most distinctive workflow feature, shifting the right channel against the left for ping-pong movement or wider stereo echo layers. A filter section adds low-pass, high-pass, boosted low-pass, and boosted high-pass modes for shaping darker repeats or brighter shimmer-style textures.
Use it when a plain delay feels too static, especially on arpeggios, synth hooks, percussion fills, and transitional effects. The interface is utilitarian, but the control set rewards experimentation with tempo-synced repeats, stereo width, feedback, dry/wet balance, and fade time for smoother parameter changes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is multiDelayFree different from the paid multiDelay version?
SaschArt's page says multiDelayFree offers three additional serial child delays. The same page links to the professional multiDelay version and says it expands the design to 15 additional delays.
What does the Child section do?
The Child section adds extra serial delay stages after the main delay. SaschArt notes that these child delays are applied on the preceding feedback path, so they are not the same as stacking several ordinary delays in parallel.
What is the Warp control for?
Warp adjusts the right channel relative to the left channel. Depending on the selected mode, it can create ping-pong movement or wider stereo echo layers.
Why is the download marked external?
The live SaschArt page currently says the free download is available only to logged users. The review artifact therefore links to the official product page instead of claiming an R2-hosted file that was not downloaded and verified.
