Golpe
Key Features
- Builds a synthesized kick from independently shaped sub, body, and click layers rather than a fixed sample library.
- Sub voice provides a 25–100 Hz sine fundamental with pitch sweep, hold, decay, and drive controls.
- Body voice offers sine, triangle, or saturated wave choices with phase, tone-filter, pitch, and drive shaping.
- Click voice can create noise, snap, or tick transients, or use a personal sample for a custom attack.
- Glue compression, output gain, clipping, tuned MIDI modes, and velocity sensitivity help the layers work as a single instrument.
- Six factory starting points, Randomize with locks, A/B comparison, and undo/redo support quick sound design decisions.
- Browser edition adds a 16-step sequencer with accents, ghost notes, swing, kit save/load, and controller input.
Description
Golpe is a three-layer kick drum synthesizer for building tuned electronic kicks inside a Windows VST3 host or from its included browser version. Its sub, body, and click voices cover the low fundamental, punch, and transient separately, then feed a glue compressor to turn the layers into one coherent hit.
The sub voice supplies sine-based weight with pitch movement, while the body can use sine, triangle, or saturated waves for the midrange knock. The click section offers noise, snap, tick, or a user-loaded sample, so the attack can stay audible on smaller speakers without forcing the entire kick brighter.
Golpe supports key and scale snapping, MIDI triggering or tuned playback, velocity response, presets, Randomize with locks, A/B comparison, and undo/redo. The browser edition also supplies a 16-step sequencer with accents, ghost notes, swing, kit saving, and MIDI-controller input in Chrome or Edge.
The free edition includes the complete synthesis engine in both VST3 and browser forms. Its paid Pro counterpart is a separate product that adds the FX chain and WAV export, so Golpe Free remains the focused choice for shaping the core kick sound rather than finishing it with built-in mix effects.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Golpe build a kick sound?
Golpe combines a sine-based sub layer, a body layer, and a click layer before a glue compressor. Each layer has its own shaping controls, so the fundamental, punch, and attack can be adjusted independently before they become one kick.
Can Golpe follow the key of a track?
Yes. The tune can snap to semitones or to a song key and scale, and the interface displays each layer's note. MIDI can either trigger the kick normally or play it at the note received for tuned kick and bassline-style parts.
What can the browser version do?
It runs locally in a current desktop browser and uses the same sound engine as the VST3 edition. It includes a 16-step sequencer, accents, ghost notes, swing, kit saving, and MIDI-controller input in Chrome or Edge.
What is the difference between Golpe Free and Golpe Pro?
Golpe Free includes the full three-layer synth engine, tuning, presets, MIDI functions, VST3 plugin, and browser version. Pro is a separate paid edition that adds a transient shaper, distortion, EQ, reverb, limiter, and WAV export.
