Description

Sweetcase by NoiseAsh is a sample-based vintage electric piano instrument that delivers warm, expressive Rhodes-style tones straight out of the box. Every sample was recorded, mixed, and mastered through classic analog gear including tape saturators, tube EQs, and compressors, giving the instrument a polished, mix-ready character from the moment you load it.

The engine uses multiple round robin variations and velocity layers to capture realistic playing dynamics. Whether you play softly for delicate ballad passages or dig in for punchy funk chords, Sweetcase responds naturally across the full keyboard range.

Built-in effects extend the sound well beyond a basic electric piano. The onboard chain includes algorithmic reverb, phase modulation, vintage ensemble chorus, crush/degrade distortion, and a parametric EQ with a zoomable interface for precise tonal shaping.

Additional controls for bass boost, bell brightness, pan/tremolo/pitch modulation, and sustain envelope let you sculpt everything from classic Fender Rhodes warmth to modern neo-soul shimmer. The resizable 3D GUI keeps things lightweight on screen and on the CPU.

Version 1.5.0 brought an expandable effects page, improved DSP performance, and Apple Silicon support on both the VST3 and AU formats. The AAX version runs natively on Intel, with Apple Silicon support planned for a future update.

Frequently Asked Questions

What effects does Sweetcase include?

Sweetcase comes with a full effects chain: algorithmic reverb, phase modulation, vintage ensemble chorus, crush/degrade distortion, and a zoomable parametric EQ. There are also stereo width, bass boost, bell, and modulation (pan, tremolo, pitch) controls built in.

Does Sweetcase require a sample library to be installed separately?

Yes. When you run the installer, a samples folder downloads alongside it. The first time you open Sweetcase in your DAW, you will need to point it to the location where you placed that samples folder. After the initial setup, it loads automatically.

Does Sweetcase support Apple Silicon Macs natively?

Yes, version 1.4.0 added native Apple Silicon support for the VST3 and AU formats. The AAX version currently runs on Apple Silicon through Rosetta translation. DSP and UI performance were further improved in version 1.5.0.

How does Sweetcase compare to physically modeled electric piano plugins?

Sweetcase is sample-based rather than physically modeled, so it captures the exact tonal character of a specific instrument recorded through analog gear. Physically modeled plugins like Lounge Lizard offer more parameter tweaking, but Sweetcase delivers a polished, ready-to-mix sound with less setup.
