Key Features

  • Standalone multi-effect built from Battalion's Shatter Delay, Headspace Reverb, and master processing sections.
  • Granular Shatter Delay with feedback tilt filtering, glitch modulation, stereo processing, pong mode, ducking, and sample-rate degradation.
  • Headspace Reverb with ten character modes, syncable pre-delay and decay, input/output tilt shaping, and crunchy low-sample-rate behavior.
  • Automatic choke controls for delay and reverb buffers, including tempo sync, free-run timing, Euclidean patterning, and timing offset.
  • Master section includes Maximize, EQ, and multimode distortion for pushing the combined effects into louder or more aggressive territory.
  • Solo and mute controls make the delay, reverb, and master sections usable independently or as a combined creative processor.
  • Customizable interface themes support light, dark, color, no-color, and randomized visual setups.

Description

BattleFX is Unfiltered Audio's standalone multi-effect version of the send effects from Battalion, built around Shatter Delay, Headspace Reverb, and a compact master section. It is aimed at producers who want rhythmic delay, character reverb, and destructive sound-design movement in one insert rather than a conventional utility delay or reverb.

Shatter Delay combines tempo or hertz-based delay time with feedback tilt filtering, ducking, pong stereo, sample-rate reduction, and glitch modulation. Headspace Reverb adds ten character modes, input and output tilt shaping, syncable pre-delay and decay, and the same sample-rate degradation for washed-out or artifact-heavy spaces.

The automatic choke system is the feature that pushes BattleFX beyond a standard delay-plus-reverb chain. Delay and reverb buffers can be choked at repeating intervals, tempo-synced or free-running, with Euclidean pattern control and timing nudges for off-grid ducking, stutters, and motion.

Unfiltered Audio also includes Battalion's Maximize and EQ section, plus multimode distortion, solo and mute controls for each block, and customizable interface themes. As checked on May 17, 2026, the official product page lists BattleFX at $0.00, while download access requires a free checkout and email license delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What parts of Battalion are included in BattleFX?

BattleFX extracts the Shatter Delay and Headspace Reverb from Battalion's send effects and adds the Maximize and EQ section from Battalion's master area. The standalone version also adds an automatic choke system for the delay and reverb buffers.

Does BattleFX need Battalion to run?

No. Unfiltered Audio presents BattleFX as a dedicated plugin that can be used on any track, so it does not require Battalion as a host or dependency.

How is BattleFX downloaded and activated?

The official product page lists BattleFX at $0.00, but access still goes through a free checkout. After checkout, Unfiltered Audio emails a license key and installer link, and the plugin is activated on first launch with the user's email address and license key.

What makes the choke controls useful?

The choke system can cut the delay and reverb buffers at repeating intervals, either tempo-synced or free-running. With Euclidean pattern control and timing nudges, it can create rhythmic ducking, stutters, and moving space effects that would otherwise need extra routing or sidechain setup.
