Description
Radical1 Solo is Sound Radix's monophonic additive synthesizer built from the same engine as the full Radical1 instrument. It keeps the oscillators, modulation system, filters, and effects in a focused single-voice, single-layer plugin aimed at basses, leads, sequences, and animated electronic tones.
The engine works at the harmonic level, so sound design starts with partials instead of conventional analog-style waveforms. Morphing oscillators, spectrum drawing, spectral sample resynthesis, spectral filters, harmonic modifiers, and a real-time spectral display give it a more experimental voice than a typical subtractive mono synth.
Its strongest workflow is direct, visual patch building. Layers, modules, blocks, and modulation paths are shown as part of the interface, while starred parameters keep important controls close and the latest 0.9.6 update improves browser search, modulation behavior, distortion, MIDI settings, preset handling, and performance.
Because Solo is limited to one voice and one layer, it is best treated as a focused sound-design instrument rather than a full replacement for Radical1's layered polyphonic patches.
