Description
SOL is a textural ambient reverb from Dawesome, created with Chris Bryant of S1gns Of L1fe for producers who want space to become part of the sound design. It pairs a large Clouds reverb with a granular Glitter engine, so the effect can move from soft halo and depth into shimmering, animated washes.
The plugin is not built around realistic room modeling. Its strongest character is expansive tonal color: Clouds controls the reverb amount, Space sets size and decay, and Color darkens or brightens the wet signal while the central sun works as the dry/wet mix.
The granular side is what pushes SOL beyond a normal reverb send. Glitt adds the grain intensity, Calm slows and smooths the movement, and Shine adds octave sparkle that can make pads, vocals, guitars, and synth layers feel like they are dissolving upward.
As checked on May 1, 2026, the official Dawesome page still labels SOL as a full professional version with no sign-up, no restrictions, and separate macOS and Windows downloads. SSA mirrors both installers in R2, while the official page remains the source of truth for the release and future updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is SOL a realistic room reverb?
No. Dawesome describes SOL as a textural effects engine rather than a room emulator, and its controls are aimed at transforming space into tonal color and motion.
What does the Glitter section add to the reverb?
Glitter is the granular side of SOL. It can add subtle movement, denser grain texture, and octave sparkle through the Glitt, Calm, and Shine controls.
Can SOL handle subtle ambience, or is it only for huge space effects?
It can do both. BPB noted that Clouds can sound intimate and angelic with lower Space settings, while larger settings push the plugin into vast ambient territory.
Does SOL require an account or subscription to download?
The official page currently says no sign-up and no restrictions. The macOS and Windows installer buttons resolve to direct downloadable files, which SSA mirrors for the review worktree.
