Description
Xsynth-DSSI is a classic analog-style software synthesizer for the DSSI plugin format, built around the familiar VCO-VCF-VCA signal path. It started as a DSSI port of Steve Brooke's Xsynth and grew into a Linux-focused instrument with an editor GUI, polyphony, band-limited oscillators, velocity-sensitive envelopes, and a more stable filter mode.
The synth is intentionally old-school and hands-on. Two oscillators feed a mixer, low-pass filter, and amplifier, with two ADSR envelope generators, an LFO, MIDI key tracking, velocity, oscillator sync, portamento modes, pitch bend range, and patch-bank loading for saving or extending sounds.
